Nuestra Seņora de la Asuncion de Baracoa, the first village in Cuba, a.k.a. Baracoa is a unique town, full of traditions where each day can be different and a feast for all senses. The settlement was founded in 1512, next to the Macaguanigua River. The Cruz de Parra is one of the souvenirs from those old days. Baracoa is located in the northern coast of the easternmost province of Cuba: Guantanamo; worldwide known through the song Guantanamera. The site is overal full of mountain forests, valleys and rivers that reach the sea.
