BARACOA

Baracoa, founded in 1512, was the first Spanish settlement in the Americas and the first capital of the island of Cuba. To reach Baracoa by land, you have to go up into the mountains on La Farola, a veritable cliff-hanger of a winding road with 11 sections suspended out in space. The city\'s attractions include many very old Spanish-styled houses, walls built in the 18yh and 19th ceturies; natural attractions such as the Toa River, Matachin Museum, La Punta Fort and aromatic coffee and cacao plantations.

CIENFUEGOS & TRINIDAD

CITY TOUR SANTA CLARA

This memorable visit begins in Carmen Square, where Mass was held during the ceremony founding the city. Tour the historic center of the city including Leoncio Vidal Park and the Caridad Theater which was founded in 1885. Visit the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Armored Train. The program also includes a visit to the Che Guevara Memorial Museum, where his remains lay together with some of his comrads.

COLONIAL REMEDIOS

Remedios was the eight settkament founded by the Spaniards in 1515. Its well preserved original nicleus has been declared a National Monument. NATURE AT GRAN PIEDRA

La Gran Piedre (Great Boulder) is considered one of the most important ecosystems in the Sierra Maestra Mountains. Its top is 4048 feet (1234 meters) above the sea level. The boulder is on top of a mountain 15.5 miles(25 km) from the city of Santiago de Cuba. It is more than 164 feet(50 m) long and 83 feet(25m) tall and weighs around 60000 tons, Because if the Gran Piedra\'s enviromental value, UNESCO has declared it to be a part of the World Heritage.
