The flora and fauna are the main attractions in this province, which is famous for being the land where the best tobacco is grown. The main access to this province is by land, but you can also come by sea.

The "Museum city of Cuba" is a part of the world heritage - as its neighbouring Sugarmill Valley. Well preserved churches, mansions and public squares retain the splendour of its settlement which was founded in 1514. The best place to start exploring Trinidad us the pitoresque Main Square, surrounded by buildings hundreds of years old that are now museums. Many postcards and books about Cuba feature this square.

This archipelago is part of the Sabana-Camaguey Archipelago- more than 2500 islands and islets that extend for 465 kilometers, from the Bay of Nuevitas to the eastern end of the Hicacos Peninsula. Two of these cays in Ciego de Avila Province - Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo- are tourist resorts. The former is a large island square 370 square kilometres in sized linked to the mainland by a stone causeway 17 kilometers long. A long coral reef close to the coast protects this archipelago and features more than 30 excellent diving sites.

The city of Camaguey was formerly founded in 1515 as Santa Maria del Puerto del Principe. It has delightful public squares, churches and streets. It is one of the most important cities in the country. It´s original nucleus is the largest - covering over 300 hectares - and one of the best preserved in Cuba. Santa Lucia Beach is located on the northern coast of Camaguey Province covering 21 kilometers long and bathed by warm turqouoise water.

The city of Las Tunas is also known as the "Sculpture capital of Cuba". It hosts the Iberian-American Festival of Ten-Line Country Verses and traditional Meetings on El Cucalambe. The provinces coasts contain more than 30 pristine beaches and there are several places that played an important role in Cuba´s War of Independence in 1880´s.

Holguin City is known as the "City of Parks" in Cuba. It is the capital of the province with the same name. It is a very hospitable city. It´s attractions include the lookout point on the Hill of the Cross which participants climb in pilmgrimage as part of the May Festivals. Guardalavaca, Esmeralda, Pesquero and Don Lino beaches are becoming ever more popular. They are located in a 18 km strip on the northern coast of the province.

It´s capital, Bayamo, was the second Spanish settlement in Cuba, founded in 1513 at a place where was a large Indian population. It served as capital of the Republic in Arms during the Ten Years´ War (1868-1878).

Santiago de Cuba is the second largest city in Cuba and also in importance. It was founded in 1515 and served as capital of Cuba for a short time before all the collapse of trades with the Minor Antilles, letting room for Havana to become the capital of the country. Santiago is the warmest and most hospitable of the cities in the country and considered as the Capital of the Caribbean. It has a reach history and fertile cultural development, especially in the sphere of music.

Baracoa was the first Spanish settlement in Cuba, founded on a bank of the Manicaragua river in 1512. It is a unique town with many customs where every day can be different and awaken your senses. It´s museum contains the Parra Cross, the only one remaining of the 29 crosses that Christopher Colombus brought to the new world.
